About The Position

Bayway Auto Group is seeking a full-time Main Line Technician to work in person in Pasadena, Texas. The technician inspects, diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicles and their mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. The position also involves estimating repair work, advising motorists on vehicle use and future maintenance, maintaining repair records, and keeping tools and equipment in good condition. The role reports to the Service Manager.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in automotive repair.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
Ability to handle tools such as pliers and heavy equipment such as lifts.
Willingness to observe safety precautions to protect against accidents and exposure to dangerous fluids or chemicals.
Must meet dealership employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
At least three years of driving history.
At least 18 years of age.
Punctual and reliable.

Nice To Haves

Valid ASE Certification is preferred.
CDK experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical and electrical components to accurately diagnose issues.
Inspect vehicle computers and electronic systems to repair, maintain, or upgrade them.
Perform routine maintenance, including replacing fluids and lubricating parts, to support vehicle functionality and longevity.
Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use.
Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and resolve issues such as leaks.
Provide accurate estimates of the cost, time, and effort required for repairs or maintenance.
Keep logs of work and repairs.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
