About The Position

The Main Banker is responsible for ensuring proper money-handling procedures, compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. This role involves safeguarding company assets, preparing necessary paperwork, managing the main bank by reimbursing cashiers and receiving funds from the count room and revenue drops. The Main Banker also monitors and manages inventory levels, balances ATMs and other self-service kiosks on the gaming floor, and may function as a cashier when needed. A key aspect of this role is demonstrating and providing outstanding customer service and employee relations, while maintaining a neat and clean appearance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a high school or equivalent diploma.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.
  • Two (2) years’ related cashier work experience in a casino environment.
  • Ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily.
  • Ability to talk and hear.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to climb or balance.
  • Ability to stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Varied instances of standing/walking.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference.
  • Ability to create, read and analyze spreadsheets of statistical data.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

  • Function as cashier if needed.
  • Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer service and employee relations at all times.
  • Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
