The Mailroom & Copy Center Assistant is responsible for operating equipment such as copiers, postage meters and FedEx shipment computers. The Assistant will also sort & deliver incoming mail according to schedule and provide backup coverage for all other Mail & Copy Center responsibilities. This will be a part-time position, 24 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Airborne systems, postage meters, copiers, and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all Mail & Copy Center operations, activities, and production
  • Function as primary contact between Mail & Copy Center and all other internal and external customers
  • Maintain all Mail & Copy Center records and forms (log sheets, shipments, copy requests, etc.)
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail and processes outgoing mail with the assistance of the Mail & Copy Center associates
  • Checks FedEx shipment records for late shipments and adjusts remittance amount accordingly and filing claims as necessary
  • Work with outside vendors to maintain all Mail & Copy Center equipment and procure new equipment as needed
  • Search for the most cost-effective method(s) of shipping packages and evaluate pricing from office supply vendors for cost saving
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers
  • Analyze the most cost-effective method(s) for outbound shipments and track savings
  • Analyze ticketing system to evaluate resolution time for internal customer requests
