About The Position

The program supports daily site operations by providing reliable mailroom and logistics services that enable effective communication, secure document handling, and timely distribution of mail and parcels across the facility while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards. The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for supporting site operations through efficient mailroom services, including sorting, processing, distributing, and tracking incoming and outgoing mail and parcels. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, maintains mailroom organization, complies with safety and HSE procedures, and supports internal communications while delivering high-quality customer service to site personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of clerical experience, preferably in a mailroom or similar environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Dependable and flexible with the ability to manage variable tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Must be a US citizen

Responsibilities

  • Sort and prioritize First-Class Postage, USPS Certified and Registered mail, parcels, and standard postage daily
  • Conduct employee mail look-up processes
  • Create and maintain required records in a standardized SharePoint repository, including tracking data such as date, type, barcode identifiers, recipient, and time
  • Maintain records and correspondence with customers, vendors, and internal departments to support mail tracking, distribution, and fulfillment
  • Compile and track departmental costs and expenditures, including office supplies and postage usage
  • Perform daily delivery and collection rounds in accordance with site requirements
  • Process outgoing mail using approved USPS postage meter machines (e.g., Quadient, Pitney Bowes)
  • Maintain updated lists of internal mail station locations and site points of contact for unidentified mail or parcels
  • Support site communications by circulating mail, parcels, faxes, and receipts while capturing metrics for reporting and quality control
  • Comply with all applicable site HSE procedures, including safety and security protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized mailroom in accordance with KBR and site safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
