About The Position

FSSI East Inc. is looking for a full-time Mail Operations (Production) Support to join our 1st shift team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This position is responsible for cross-training in various positions when the need arises due to vacations, call outs or high-volume days, in addition to performing standard daily operational duties in the mailing department. The schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (1st shift). In addition to the regular schedule, additional hours (overtime) will be required on an as needed basis to support business operations. This may include working a longer daily schedule or working on weekends. Flexibility in work schedule, and frequently working 10 or more hours per day, is required on a recurring basis.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be well organized and have strong time management skills.
  • Must handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear; stand, walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds independently.
  • Specific vision required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
  • Steel-toe footwear must be worn while on the job site at all times regardless of the presence of a hazard.

Responsibilities

  • Assist or provide coverage in Mailing and Quality Assurance.
  • Perform standard daily operational duties in the mailing department.
  • Cross-train in various positions when the need arises due to vacations, call outs or high-volume days.
  • Operate large mailing equipment.
  • Move stock and materials from warehouse to assigned location on the Inserter.
  • Sign off on mail pieces throughout the Inserting cycle.
  • Learn to operate Mailroom Inserters well enough to fill in on an as needed basis.
  • Copy and scan documentation if required.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations.
  • Report unsafe facility and vehicle issues to management.
  • Perform other duties assigned dependent on the changing needs of the organization.
