Handling 200,000 tonnes of cargo, guiding 15,000,000 passengers and keeping 50,000 flights in the air each year, the work that the dnata USA team complete on the ground is crucial to keeping the country in the air. The Mail Operations Manager is responsible for the management, directing, and leading in the overall operations of the mail loading/unloading and delivery of truck and aircraft container activity/functions.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with general computer systems/applications
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours, when necessary, on short notice due to operational needs
  • Associates Degree or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan work direction and leadership staff for efficient workflow, maximum work output, and timely deliveries to meet changing customer needs and staffing vacancies
  • Oversee daily workflow of incoming and outgoing mail and related items
  • Monitor policy and operating procedures
  • Point of contact for mail operations related questions
  • Prioritize and manages the schedule for daily tasks and functions for all areas
  • Assure proper operation, maintenance, of all systems
  • Responsible to train and assign others
  • Work plans: delegating scheduled assignments to staff
  • Oversee planning, implementation, and delegation of workflow in all areas of department
  • Ensuring that established processes and procedures are followed
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff
  • Required to conduct monthly audits and stop observation to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
  • Ensure timely reporting requirements are met daily
  • Other duties as required
