About The Position

The Mail Operations Manager is responsible for the management, directing, and leading in the overall operations of the mail loading/unloading and delivery of truck and aircraft container activity/functions.

Proficiency with general computer systems/applications
Must be flexible to work extended hours, when necessary, on short notice due to operational needs

Responsibilities

Plan work direction and leadership staff for efficient workflow, maximum work output, and timely deliveries to meet changing customer needs and staffing vacancies
Oversee daily workflow of incoming and outgoing mail and related items
Monitor policy and operating procedures
Point of contact for mail operations related questions
Prioritize and manages the schedule for daily tasks and functions for all areas
Assure proper operation, maintenance, of all systems
Responsible to train and assign others
Work plans: delegating scheduled assignments to staff
Oversee planning, implementation, and delegation of workflow in all areas of department
Ensuring that established processes and procedures are followed
Provide leadership and direction to staff
Required to conduct monthly audits and stop observation to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
Ensure timely reporting requirements are met daily
Other duties as required
