The Mail Operations Associate supports the daily activities of the Mail Services department by assisting with mail preparation, processing, and distribution operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, eager to learn mailing industry practices, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment. Responsibilities include operating mail-processing equipment, preparing bulk and special mailings, ensuring compliance with postal regulations, and maintaining accurate mailing records. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and computer skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires regular lifting, moving, and transporting of mail trays, boxes, and packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Team members may also provide support across various mail center functions and assist with additional operational needs as assigned. As part of University Printing and Mail (UPM), the Mail Operations Associate contributes to the university's mission by helping deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective mailing services to the campus community. While the primary focus of this role is Mail Services, employees may have opportunities to assist in other areas of UPM based on departmental needs.
