About The Position

FSSI, a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance, and billing industries across the U.S. for over 45 years, is seeking a Mailing Expeditor/Driver to join their 2nd shift team in Santa Ana, CA. This role is responsible for expediting large-scale bulk mailing production, including job tracking, materials staging, and inventory logging. The position also serves as a backup driver as needed.

Requirements

  • Expediting or Material Handling experience in a fast-paced production environment required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in scheduling all production runs and accept mailing work orders and checklists into the Mailing Department, based on specified criteria.
  • Verify that all necessary information needed to start each job is on the checklist and correct.
  • Stage materials for the mailing operators, including physically moving job trees requiring strenuous physical work such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling.
  • Work with the Shift Supervisor to ensure all necessary materials to complete the job have been ordered and received. Return all unused materials back to leftovers.
  • Assist Client Service Reps in promptly resolving customer questions or problems regarding stock or inserts.
  • Receive and give a verbal turnover to shift Supervisor at end of each shift.
  • Serve as a backup driver when needed: Driving company vehicles for the purpose of pick-ups and deliveries to designated locations.
  • Prepare daily production volume for USPS, Pitney Bowes Pre-Sort Services (PBPS) and Direct Mailing for deliveries.
  • Sort and prepare production volume for PBPS daily pickups.
  • Unload mailing materials delivery trucks.
  • Retrieve and prepare Custom Insert's first-class mail for delivery to Post Office.
  • Assist the mailing department with additional work, as needed and/or requested, including catching, sorting, machine operations, maintaining spec sheets, etc.
  • Understand and consistently follow company policies and safety regulations.
