About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier for a United States Postal Service mail route in Baker City, Oregon. The route starts on 11/28/2026. The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle and drives approximately 110–120 miles per day, including a 55–60-mile delivery route. Compensation is $270 per day as a 1099 contractor, paid monthly.

The schedule is full-time, six days per week, Monday through Saturday except federal holidays. The estimated workday is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or nine hours or less. Applicants must live in Baker City or a neighboring town or city and meet the stated age, work authorization, driving, lifting, weather, vehicle, and insurance requirements.

Requirements

• Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in Baker City, Oregon, or a neighboring town or city.
• Provide a qualifying vehicle: a minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than five years old.
• Have minimum liability insurance.
• Provide your own vehicle.
• Be available to work six days per week, Monday through Saturday except federal holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
• A minivan or cargo van with 120 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console is recommended for passenger-side mailbox delivery; the route may be harder without this feature but is still possible.
• Availability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
• Load mail and parcels into a delivery vehicle in delivery sequence.
• Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
