This position is on a federal Abilityone contract that requires that most of the work hours are performed by employees with disabilities. The Mail Clerk is responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing outgoing and incoming mail and packages according to postal regulations and requirements. This includes sorting mail by destination and type, weighing, stamping, and arranging for outgoing mail. The role also involves re-addressing undeliverable mail and maintaining records of mail activity. The position requires meeting established standards of quality and productivity with or without supervision, and performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
