About The Position

The MAHI Evening Receptionist will greet and direct Irving ISD and community members as they enter the Magda A Hernández Institute of Wellness and Professional Learning. The part-time receptionist will provide excellent customer service, administrative support, and promote a positive wellbeing culture.

Requirements

  • Educational Aide 1 Paraprofessional Certificate
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication, verbal and writing skills in English (and Spanish preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word)
  • At least 1+ of customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned.
  • Assist in the set-up the monthly MAHI Social Hour events.
  • Liaise with district staff/community members the registration of fitness classes.
  • Provide security and control to front door area of the MAHI building.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Follows and reports any safety concerns.
  • Assist in the maintenance of program records and preparation of reports as required.
  • Assist in the inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing equipment for fitness classes.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and special events as required.
  • Performs other reasonable work assignments as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
