About The Position

This internship is within the Strategy and Research Department at Bank of China. The intern will assist in upgrading the research abilities to add more value to both BOCNY and the BOC Group. The role involves conducting research in areas such as the macro economy, financial markets, and the banking industry, and their impact on the bank's strategies and businesses. The intern will also provide periodic and adhoc research reports and offer expert knowledge and timely advisories to departments, particularly concerning interest rate trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven track record of macro research or banking industry research
• Ideally experience in econometrics
• Good verbal and written communication
• Banking industry or financial services experience: 0-2 year

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree/Ph.D. in Finance/Economics/other quantitative fields preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct researches in fields including but not limited to the macro economy, financial markets, and the banking industry, as well as their impacts on the bank’s strategies and businesses
