Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Machinist to join their team. This role is intended for, but not limited to, grinding rolls, cutting rolls, and sharpening knives. Requirements

  • Ability to read and write.
  • Basic technical knowledge sufficient to deal with complicated and mechanical problems requiring the use of complicated drawings and specifications and shop mathematics.
  • All qualifications of the current Multi-skilled position.

  • Flexibility and willingness to attend training and continuing education outside of normal work hours if needed to maintain and improve knowledge of new technology.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist and/or train other Multi-Skilled employees and operators outside normal working hours when needed.
  • Proven ability to design, program, and integrate equipment using RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 software.
  • Proven ability to design and program new HMI applications, as well as troubleshoot existing applications, using Factory Talk View ME software.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain industrial Ethernet / Data Highway networks.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to write procedures to improve processes and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of the current Multi-Skilled position.
  • Possess knowledge of shop mathematics, use of charts and tables, knowledge of dimensions and uses of standard bolts, screws, threads and taper pins, and efficient planning of shop work.
  • Be familiar with the working properties of metals such as aluminum, brass, cast iron, and various steels.
  • Shape metal parts to precision dimensions within close tolerances as specified.
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment as required.
  • Grind machine tools as required.
  • Make tools, fixtures, and various holding devices as required.
  • Follow prepared sequence of operations in machining parts.
  • Design, program, and integrate equipment using RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 software.
  • Design and program new HMI applications, as well as troubleshoot existing applications, using Factory Talk View ME software.
  • Establish and maintain industrial Ethernet / Data Highway networks.
  • Write procedures to improve processes and controls.
