Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
Five (5) years of experience in a Machine Shop environment.
Formal education or training in a related technical field.
Experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance/repair, and related manufacturing processes.
Able to safely set-up and operate conventional vertical milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, vertical EDM and other shop related equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate all types of traditional machine shop equipment as required to repair, maintain, and fabricate tooling, fixtures, and samples in support of manufacturing operations with a heavy emphasis on plastic injection molds.
Maintain a safe working attitude, follow safety rules, and promote a safe culture throughout the facility.
Work with little or no supervision.
Read and interpret blueprint drawings.
Fabricate parts with a high level of accuracy while holding tight tolerances.
Perform tool repairs and preventative maintenance at regular intervals.
Support design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures in support of manufacturing operations.
Assemble and de-bug tools and fixtures for production area.
