Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Machinist. The Machinist is responsible for production and control of electronic components. This role consists of operating Bridgeports, Kickpress, Furnaces, Vapor Honing and Bead Blasting, etc. Job Location: Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are approximately 70 employees working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of machine shop environment or manufacturing machine experience required.
  • Must be able to learn new products quickly, accomplish goals, work independently and be highly motivated.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Bridgeport, Kickpress, Furnace, Tubbing and/or Blasting experience preferred.
  • Microscope experience, understanding of tolerances and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform loading, unloading, alignments, cleaning, and maintaining machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
  • Inspect parts and remove rejects.
  • Must be technical, able to learn quickly, work independently and be highly motivated.
  • Must be willing to float to meet production needs.
  • Follow and understand all written work orders, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Complete work accurately by following written instructions and adhere to required safety rules.
