About The Position

Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (MP&M) is hiring a Machinist to set up and optimize production equipment to maximize efficiency and produce quality products. The position is based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and works Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role involves selecting machining methods and parameters, collaborating with engineering, documenting machine setups to applicable quality standards, and maintaining equipment and tooling. MP&M describes its manufacturing facility as climate-controlled and offers hands-on training and long-term career opportunities.

Requirements

Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Read and understand process sheets and work instructions in English.
Ability to hear.
Good vision, including close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Knowledge of machines and tools, production processes, and design techniques.
Knowledge of Master Cam Software.
Knowledge of basic math applications.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Determine methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters based on material design and specifications.
Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve quality and design objectives.
Comply with ISO, IATF, and AS9100 standards when documenting machine setup.
Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and tooling.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operators.
