Machinist - 1st shift Monday - Thursday
About The Position
Manitowoc Pattern & Machining is hiring a Machinist to set up and optimize production equipment for efficient operation and quality output. The role works Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the company’s Manitowoc, Wisconsin location. The position involves selecting machining methods and parameters, collaborating with engineering to meet quality and design objectives, documenting machine setups in accordance with applicable standards, and maintaining equipment and tooling. Requirements
- Knowledge of machines and tools, production processes, and design techniques.
- Knowledge of Master Cam software.
- Knowledge of basic math applications.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to hear.
- Good close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Determine machining methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters based on material, design, and specifications.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve quality and design objectives.
- Document machine setups in compliance with ISO, IATF, and AS9100 standards.
- Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and tooling.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to support efficient operations.
- Communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Read and understand process sheets and work instructions in English.
