The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts. This role requires adherence to company values, safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements. The machinist will operate and set up CNC shop equipment, meet cycle time and yield expectations, and may operate multiple machines simultaneously. Responsibilities include sharpening and changing tooling, making adjustments to maintain tolerances, presetting tooling, troubleshooting equipment, deburring/buffing/sanding parts, verifying revision levels and documentation, inspecting parts using various tools and techniques, completing all applicable documentation, following quality procedures for traceability, practicing 5S principles, and performing preventative maintenance.
