Machinists (Levels I, II, &III)
About The Position
James Fisher Technologies (JFT) is seeking Machinists at multiple skill levels (I, II, & III) for its location in Loveland, CO. This role is crucial for supporting OEMs and research partners in advancing next-generation nuclear technology within the clean-energy transition. JFT offers a 9/80 schedule, providing every other Friday off. Applicants will be considered based on their experience level, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. The anticipated posting close date is 7/31/26. Level I requires 0-2 years of experience, Level II requires 3-5 years, and Level III requires 6-10 years, with corresponding salary ranges and specific skill requirements for each level.
Requirements
- Experience with CNC setup and operation
- Mastercam proficiency - editing and verifying programs very helpful
- Haas CNC experience - mills, lathes, or both
- Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T
- Detailed requirements per level discussed at interview

- Basic CNC Controls, G-code, Mechanical Aptitude (Level I)
- GD&T Interpretation, Troubleshooting, Fixture Assistance (Level II)
- Advanced Mastercam Programming, Multi-Axis Machining, Advanced GD&T, Precision Measurement, Lean / CI, Problem Solving (Level III)
Responsibilities
- Perform complete setups and operations on Haas CNC mills and lathes
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement instruments
- Maintain accurate work order documentation and quality records
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to learn and progress to the next level within reasonable timelines
