About The Position
The Grinding Machinist machines, repairs, and finishes critical aerospace components to precise specifications. This hands-on position operates CNC and manual grinding equipment, inspects completed work, and ensures parts meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The schedule is 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, though workdays may fluctuate due to business needs and may fall Monday through Sunday. A shift differential of $1–$3 per hour applies based on assigned workdays. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

- Experience operating grinding equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding equipment.
- Machine and repair precision aerospace components to close tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, and other precision measuring tools.
- Change tooling and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and complete inspection documentation.
- Operate overhead cranes and safely handle parts and materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
