Requirements

  • Machining skills with ability to design
  • CNC and CAM capabilities
  • Ability to handle duties and tasks that may be complex
  • Perform basic math, geometry and trig calculations
  • Flexibility within shop schedule to meet production needs
  • Resolve routine issues and problems
  • Computer literate including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Follow all documented safety requirements
  • HS Diploma and (1) one plus year of experience

Nice To Haves

  • CAD drafting skills such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Programming knowledge of SolidWorks CAM
  • Experience with Tormach Path Pilot CNC software

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create layout, set-up, and operate manually operated and CNC machine shop equipment.
  • Read and understand blueprints, manuals, and other technical documentation in order to perform machine shop tasks.
  • Design, machine and build simple fixtures and tools to assist production and engineering.
  • Setup, operate, and disassemble manual and CNC machines.
  • Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and work pieces.
  • Monitor speed and feed of machines.
  • Turn, mill, drill, and shape machine parts to specifications.
  • Measure and examine completed parts to meet specifications.
  • Test production tools and fixtures to satisfy requirements.
  • Maintain machines and mechanical equipment, make adjustments, repair and report any problems.
  • Make, repair or modify parts per specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using various measuring tools and techniques to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Handle, machine and assemble delicate small parts, maintain accuracy and meet customer specs.
  • Troubleshoot and report problems.
