About The Position

Entrust is seeking a Sr. Machinist to join their Manufacturing team. In this role, you will fabricate and repair metal and plastic parts by operating multi-axis machining centers. You will also assemble parts into sub-units or complete units and use blueprints, design sketches, and various measuring tools to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product are achieved. This position works second shift Monday through Thursday 2:30pm – 1:00am.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree or certificate in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
  • Must have experience setting up and running 5-Axis machining centers.
  • Displays advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills with abilities to prioritize work in order to achieve the shortest lead time possible for customer orders.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret Solidworks Drawings or other CAD Drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Position requires physical lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods of time
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods and able to lift and install mechanical assemblies or materials that may weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Nice To Haves

  • Experience setting up and running Mazak machining centers
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run various CNC multi-axis machining centers as scheduled
  • Edit and understand CNC programs
  • Fabricate and assemble jigs, fixtures, and tooling
  • Prove out new part conversions, assist in the design, and provide feedback and information to the team on new project concepts.
  • Ensure quality of parts: Read, analyze, and interpret CMM inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, and processing procedures.
  • Use standard measuring tools to inspect work and correct as needed.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job procedures.
  • Interact with design engineering and manufacturing engineering under general supervision.
  • Take both written and verbal instructions and read and build parts per drawings
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures to support tooling operations
  • Maintain equipment and work area in safe, clean and operable condition.
