About The Position

Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist you will be working in the Parts Manufacturing/Inspection department to produce parts meeting specifications.

Requirements

High school graduate with completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist
Minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist
Experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), as well as CNC and manual mills, grinders, and drill presses
Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour
Good eyesight for use of precision measuring instruments
Hearing ability that allows detection of abnormal cutting and bearing sounds
Able to remain on feet for eight-hour shift
Working knowledge of computers

Responsibilities

Perform diversified machining operations including set up
Work with minimal supervision, with or without process sheet information
Work independently performing assigned duties while ensuring quality workmanship
Use necessary precision measuring equipment ensuring acceptable functionality of parts or assemblies
Determine and use the proper tools for each assignment
Keep all equipment and work areas clean
Perform all activities in a safe manner
Move material within the department by use of a hand truck or other material handling device
Perform all other duties as assigned
Report malfunction of equipment to supervisor
