About The Position

Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist you will be working in the Parts Manufacturing/Inspection department to produce parts meeting specifications.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist
  • Experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), as well as CNC and manual mills, grinders, and drill presses
  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour
  • Good eyesight for use of precision measuring instruments
  • Hearing ability that allows detection of abnormal cutting and bearing sounds
  • Able to remain on feet for eight-hour shift
  • Working knowledge of computers

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified machining operations including set up
  • Work with minimal supervision, with or without process sheet information
  • Work independently performing assigned duties while ensuring quality workmanship
  • Use necessary precision measuring equipment ensuring acceptable functionality of parts or assemblies
  • Determine and use the proper tools for each assignment
  • Keep all equipment and work areas clean
  • Perform all activities in a safe manner
  • Move material within the department by use of a hand truck or other material handling device
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Report malfunction of equipment to supervisor
