About The Position

Luvata Ohio, Inc., located in Delaware, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of cold formed and machined components and is a group company of Mitsubishi Materials. They are committed to partnering with their customers to help them increase their competitiveness by improving their products, operational efficiency, and reducing tied-up capital. They are currently looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and committed individual to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Skilled in the operations of power equipment.
  • Able to read, write, and compute math calculations.
  • Able to use gauge equipment (micrometers, ruler, etc.).
  • Able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Able to lift 80 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., bending, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, and have good vision.
  • At least two (2) years experience in Formed Products Department as a Machine Operator or equivalent experience.
  • Good work record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions necessary for the successful operation of assigned machines, including set-ups, to assure efficiency and productivity in producing a high quality product.
  • Operate a variety of assigned machines in the Department.
  • Efficiently make set-ups and tooling adjustments as required on assigned machines.
  • Diagnose and document problems for evaluation by set-up and engineering personnel.
  • Use mics; hand-held and/or automatic gauging equipment.
  • Read and understand manufacturing routings.
  • Understand and record all data necessary to maintain Data Collection requirements.
  • Responsible for the quality of the product produced, ensuring high-quality through visual inspection, tape measurement, micrometer measurements, and monitoring gauges during processing of material.
  • Clean and maintain tooling and machines in good condition.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of work area.
  • Assist in maintaining safe working conditions and conduct oneself in such a manner as to not endanger oneself or fellow employees.
  • Keep Supervisor informed of work-related problems and the progress of work assignments.
  • Follow written departmental procedures and is responsible for all company tools assigned to their area.
  • Train and direct less skilled personnel in the department.
