Luvata Ohio, Inc., located in Delaware, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of cold formed and machined components and is a group company of Mitsubishi Materials. They are committed to partnering with their customers to help them increase their competitiveness by improving their products, operational efficiency, and reducing tied-up capital. They are currently looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and committed individual to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Skilled in the operations of power equipment.
Able to read, write, and compute math calculations.
Able to use gauge equipment (micrometers, ruler, etc.).
Able to read and understand blueprints.
Able to lift 80 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., bending, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, and have good vision.
At least two (2) years experience in Formed Products Department as a Machine Operator or equivalent experience.
Good work record.

Responsibilities

Perform all functions necessary for the successful operation of assigned machines, including set-ups, to assure efficiency and productivity in producing a high quality product.
Operate a variety of assigned machines in the Department.
Efficiently make set-ups and tooling adjustments as required on assigned machines.
Diagnose and document problems for evaluation by set-up and engineering personnel.
Use mics; hand-held and/or automatic gauging equipment.
Read and understand manufacturing routings.
Understand and record all data necessary to maintain Data Collection requirements.
Responsible for the quality of the product produced, ensuring high-quality through visual inspection, tape measurement, micrometer measurements, and monitoring gauges during processing of material.
Clean and maintain tooling and machines in good condition.
Responsible for general housekeeping of work area.
Assist in maintaining safe working conditions and conduct oneself in such a manner as to not endanger oneself or fellow employees.
Keep Supervisor informed of work-related problems and the progress of work assignments.
Follow written departmental procedures and is responsible for all company tools assigned to their area.
Train and direct less skilled personnel in the department.
