We're looking for a skilled Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. Requirements
- Machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating CNC and manual machine tools
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Strong math, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Nice To Haves
- Aerospace manufacturing or component repair experience
- Experience with close-tolerance machining
- CNC program editing experience
- Experience with horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, or engine lathes
- Trade school, technical training, apprenticeship, or machining certifications
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
- Manufacture and repair precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, technical drawings, and specifications
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, pi tapes, and other precision measuring tools
- Change tooling and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed
- Perform complex machine setups with minimal supervision
- Complete required inspection and production documentation
- Perform routine machine maintenance and safely operate overhead cranes
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support process improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
