2nd Shift Machinist
About The Position
Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (MP&M) is looking for an experienced Machinist who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and solving complex machining challenges. This role offers a unique schedule of working 36 hours and getting paid for 40, with three 12-hour shifts (Friday-Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) and four consecutive days off each week. Initial training will be completed on daytime shifts (Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM-5:00 PM) alongside experienced team members before transitioning to night shifts. MP&M values craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and teamwork, and offers advanced machining technology.
Requirements
- 4+ years of machining experience or completion of a Machining Apprenticeship
- Strong setup experience with CNC machining
- Ability to read blueprints and process documentation
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Someone who enjoys taking ownership and producing quality work
Nice To Haves
- Mastercam experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate complex machining equipment
- Program and create 3-5 axis tool paths using Mastercam
- Select tooling and machining methods to produce high-quality components
- Collaborate with Engineering to achieve tight tolerances and design objectives
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and work area to the highest standards
- Produce quality work that supports aerospace, industrial, and precision manufacturing customers
