About The Position

Boiler Tube Company of America is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to fabricate, modify, and repair components used in manufacturing pressure parts, boiler components, and related equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is committed to safety and quality, and works effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training in machining or equivalent experience preferred.
• Three or more years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Machine parts to required tolerances and specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Verify dimensions and quality of finished products.
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, and quality personnel to meet production schedules.
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S principles.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
