Requirements

  • Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure that production demands are met.
  • Crosstrain both within and outside the assigned production area.
  • Use all required personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all established plant rules and policies.
  • Contribute in a positive manner to the work teams in the assigned work area.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions, work order packets, and safety instructions in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Must be able to follow standard work, complete production and maintenance records, such as but not limited to TPM inspections and other documentation related to operations (example: OASIS or Quality Control Systems).
  • Operate and efficiently navigate CNC machine controls in both automatic and manual modes, demonstrating a thorough understanding of machine interface panels and operational procedures.
  • Perform required tool offset changes and updates, accurately adjust machine tools as necessary, and proficiently set speed and feed rates to optimize production and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Conduct machine zeroing procedures to establish reference points for CNC operation, ensuring accuracy and alignment for each machining cycle.
  • Read, interpret, and troubleshoot CNC machine programs, including M&G codes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality and product specifications are met.
  • Review and comprehend engineering blueprints, part drawings, and schematics to determine machining requirements and part specifications.
  • Analyze and apply knowledge of part tolerances, utilizing various gauges and measurement devices (such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges) to verify part dimensions and confirm compliance with specified tolerance thresholds.
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections to ensure all machined parts meet established standards, documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate records as required.
  • Receives work instructions from a member of management or a team lead.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
  • Performing quality checks and tests as well as assisting in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Must participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Basic functional knowledge of computers and ability to read and acknowledge work instructions electronically.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure parts are brought to the production line in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
