The Intermediate Machinist is responsible for the successful operation of machines to produce quality parts for our Tennant products. In this role, you’ll use a variety of tools, mechanical instruments and techniques. If you are mechinally and technically inclined and pay close attention to details, then this is the role for you. Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent + Technical degree + 2 or more years of machinist experience OR 5 or more years machinist experience + machinist certificate preferred

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including but not limited to manual lathes, mills, and drill presses, to produce precision parts and instruments
Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments
Read engineering blueprints, and measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, and other gauges used in machining
Focus on continuous improvement, acting as an agent of change on the shop floor by influencing peers
Apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines
Troubleshoot and adjust to build a quality product
Perform tooling and programming prove-outs with manufacturing engineering
