This position will machine components by operating various machines and equipment.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent.
  • Experience in fast paced industrial environment; 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic and advanced math skills (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions. ratios, proportions)
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
  • This position will adhere to the BorgWarner Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Team Lead immediately.

  • Geometry and trigonometry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Loading and unloading of CNC machinery.
  • Packing out finished material into dunnage.
  • Loading and unloading CMM/Measurement systems.
  • Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards).
  • Read and understand internal procedures and policies
  • Working knowledge of component balancers and ability to balance components as required.
  • Transport material as required using proper handling methods.
  • Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)
  • Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
