About The Position
FM Industries is a manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build-to-print manufacturing, precision-machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal-spray coatings, supporting customers from prototype through production. The Machinist, Vertical Mill 3 sets up and runs the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision. The position works a swing shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or technical school education.
- 5–7 years of work-related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code.
- Extensive probe and tool pre-setter knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Use shop-paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps; count quantities; label work; and perform non-conformance-related activities.
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts to determine specifications.
- Program, set up, and run all facets of assigned work.
- Develop fixtures as needed.
- Assist in creating an accurate production set-up book.
