About The Position
Netzer Metalworks is currently hiring a second shift supervisor / machinist. This role involves managing a small team of 3 to 5 employees while also performing machining operations. The facility is climate-controlled. While 10+ years of experience is recommended, a minimum of 5 years as a machinist in a manufacturing environment is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use Standard measuring Equipment i.e. Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gauges
Nice To Haves
- 10 years + experience recommended
- Training available.
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of 3 to 5 employees
- Set up and operate various machine tools to produce precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to perform machining operations
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain efficiency throughout the company.
