About The Position

The Machinist will produce precision parts and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines. As a Machinist, you’ll be part of our team located in Elyria, Ohio. You’ll get to: Setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines. Machine parts to provided blueprint specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders. Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks and dial indicators. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Reads and understands blueprints.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, and as a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience manufacturing cold heading tooling preferred.
