About The Position

Performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the installation, movement, maintenance, fabrication/construction and repair of hospital equipment using tools and equipment such as lathes, drill presses, cutters, electric arc and gas welders, grinders, drills, rigging, and a variety of hand tools.

Requirements

• Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Machinist or Millwright recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
