About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a skilled Machinist. Our machining operation features exceptional capabilities including lathes and mills, plus a full range of manual machines including gear-cutting and CNC equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with engineers to transform their designs into high quality finished products. Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Formal machining training or hands-on experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of safety protocols
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Proficient in math
• Basic computer skills
• Manages time well for optimum efficiency
• Communicates clearly with coworkers
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints
• Evaluate and comprehend engineering information provided
• Set-up and operate machine tools per direction
• Use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges to measure parts throughout the machining process to ensure conformity to specifications
• Check output for quality assurance
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary adjustments such as offsets to produce the end product
• Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure they are functioning properly
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
