About The Position

This position is located in a high mix, low volume toolroom environment with a focus on precision grinding processes for manufacturing machine components and workholding products. The Machinist will be expected to set up and operate manual grinding machines such as OD/ID grinders, reciprocating surface grinder, rotary surface grinder, thread grinder, and center lap. Responsibilities include proper wheel selection and associated feeds and speeds, workpiece fixture setup, machine operation, and part inspection using appropriate measurement devices. Must be able to read part drawings, understand tolerances, and finish specifications. Highly supportive environment from a small team of skilled machinists. Previous work experience and a desire to operate manual precision grinding equipment is required. Workpiece feature and geometric tolerances less than 0.0003" is standard.

Requirements

• Previous work experience operating manual precision grinding equipment.
• Ability to read part drawings.
• Understanding of tolerances and finish specifications.
• Ability to work with workpiece feature and geometric tolerances less than 0.0003".

Responsibilities
