About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Machinist to produce precision machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other specialized machinery. The position is based onsite in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Employees must reside in Puerto Rico when employment begins; relocation is not offered. The role requires U.S. person status, and the posting states that U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program or contract. No security clearance is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (such as a U.S. GED), or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
U.S. citizenship, as stated in the posting for access to information under the program or contract.
Experience working with Tool and Die.
Experience operating and/or programming CNC machines.
Must reside in Puerto Rico when employment begins.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, design sketches, and GD&T to determine operational, material, and dimensional requirements.
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using mechanical equipment.
Measure materials and select appropriate machines and tools for each process.
Set up machining operations and make necessary adjustments during operations.
Program various CNC machines as required.
Operate and transition between multiple machines, including CNC, drill, and other precision equipment.
Inspect produced work for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Review SPC charts and apply required gauging and measurement practices.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to quality and safety standards.
