This position performs all duties associated with a Level CNC Setup Operator without assistance. The Machinist II operates, changes over, and sets up a minimum of three (3) types of primary CNC equipment. They adjust and calculate feeds & speeds when needed and apply knowledge of G & M codes. This role troubleshoots probing alarms & new programs, and can write a “go to” program if needed. The Machinist II understands and applies macros & macro programs, and reviews inspection data to make machining adjustments for improved process control. They perform all duties of Machinist Level I and II, including adjusting points & improving inspection compliance. This role follows all required safety & ISO procedures, completes tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and takes initiative to identify needs and contributes beyond assigned responsibilities. The Machinist II participates in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintains their work area in good working order. They may be required to work in other functional areas or facilities depending on business needs, and may be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs. Other duties as assigned.
