About The Position

This role involves a variety of activities related to the handling, storage, and shipping of parts, pumps, materials, and supplies. The machinist will be responsible for accurate record-keeping, maintaining a clean work area, and following instructions from drawings and setup cards. The position requires the ability to use mathematical concepts, interpret technical documents, and perform physical tasks including lifting and moving materials.

Requirements

• Use of mathematics together with the use of charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments and scales.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• May, in rare occasions lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load, receive, unpack, stack, store, handle, locate, issue, deliver and record, identify, mark and preserve all types and sizes of parts, pumps, materials and supplies.
• Ship off system, and prepare and distribute shipping record.
• Follow verbal and written instructions; read and work to drawings, setup cards, charts and tables with or without job tag instructions.
• Keep records such as location, quantities, issues, dates, etc. using manual or data collection system.
• Keep working area, bins, racks, machines, equipment in clean, orderly condition.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
