About The Position
As a CNC Horizontal Machinist II, you will set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor. This position is for swing shift – Monday thru Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider, specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
- Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
- Responsible for DNC communications upload and download tool programs.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required.
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistical process controls charts.
