IMI is seeking a full-time Machinist Helper local to the Athens, GA area.

Requirements

1+ years experience in machining or a related field
Accurately apply basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and conversion of fractions and decimals.
Must have basic computer skills.
Ability to operate a forklift.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and understand blueprints to manufacture parts to engineering specifications is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist senior employees with the setup and operation of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
Assist senior employees with the fabrication, modification, and repair of parts and mechanical instruments.
Assist with loading feed mechanisms by lifting stock into positions.
