About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machinist / CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position operates manual and CNC machining equipment, positions and secures materials, adjusts machine settings, and inspects finished products to ensure they meet required specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with machining equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Candidates with manual milling or CNC machine operating experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating manual mills, CNC machines, or other machining equipment.
CNC programming experience, including G-code and conversational code.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Operate manual milling machines and CNC machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
Position and secure workpieces using holding devices, hand tools, measuring instruments, and hoists.
Monitor machine operations, gauges, and indicators to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions.
Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Verify alignment, dimensions, and tolerances to ensure product quality.
Adjust machine settings, including cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting depths as needed.
Install tools in machine spindles and replace worn cutting tools.
Identify product defects and report equipment or quality concerns.
Follow all safety procedures and properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain an organized work area and participate in shop safety meetings.
