About The Position

Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis. Work is performed in a timely manner and must meet established quality standards and align with Company policies, priorities, and needs. The role carries responsibility for supporting Company objectives and policies, meeting goals, and contributing as a team member. Performance is measured against the position’s duties, accomplishments, and the methods and work skills used to achieve goals.

Requirements

• Experience with machining techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of all functions in the assigned work area.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting of approximately 55 pounds, with periodic lifting of approximately 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and special-purpose equipment.
• Perform a variety of tasks on different machines.
• Work from engineering drawings or rough sketches.
• Set up machining work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a leader or supervisor.
• Meet established quality standards and minimize rework or scrap.
• Support Company policies and goals and contribute as a team member.
