Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers. Pay based on level of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Reads, interprets and understands blueprints and operation sheets.
Must have working knowledge of shop math.
Must be able to read blueprints.
Must be able to understand operation sheets.
Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3 years of hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Completion of 2-year Technical School training preferred.
4-6 years Machining experience preferred.
Completion of Technical School training preferred.

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop.
Operating numerically controlled machine tools, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.
Performing functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
Assisting less experienced machinists (may be required).
