Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers. Pay based on level of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Reads, interprets and understands blueprints and operation sheets.
  • Must have working knowledge of shop math.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must be able to understand operation sheets.
  • Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of 2-year Technical School training preferred.
  • 4-6 years Machining experience preferred.
  • Completion of Technical School training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop.
  • Operating numerically controlled machine tools, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.
  • Performing functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
  • Assisting less experienced machinists (may be required).
