About The Position

CIRCOR Naval Solutions is seeking a Machinist to operate a manual lathe on second shift. The role involves operating specialized machinery to machine metal components according to processes and prints, with close tolerances. Training takes place on second shift, which includes a 15% shift differential. The candidate should have manual lathe experience and be patient and detail-focused. The position requires U.S. citizenship for Department of Defense requirements.

Requirements

Manual lathe experience.
At least three years of experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to work more than eight hours in a shift.
Ability to read blueprints and geometric tolerances.
Instrumentation and gaging skills.
Familiarity with machinist and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, and dial bore gages.
Willingness to accept coaching and training and learn all machines within a cell.
Ability to perform some physical effort, averaging 25 pounds.
U.S. citizenship is required for Department of Defense requirements.

Set up and operate a manual lathe.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Perform lathe machining operations.

Plan and perform rough and finish machining on a variety of CNC and manual machines.
Perform setups independently.
Operate and understand advanced machine tools, including CNC equipment.
