About The Position
Indotronix is seeking a Machinist 2 in Goleta, California. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and involves setting up and operating manual and CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components to exact specifications and tolerances. The ideal candidate will have experience with machining operations, setup procedures, blueprint interpretation, and advanced measurement techniques in a production environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of machining experience
- Experience running manual machines and performing machine setups
- Ability to fabricate precision components with difficult tolerances
- Experience performing complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations
- Familiarity with CNC Mills and machine programming software such as Mastercam or CAMWorks
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions in English
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/push/pull 35-50 lbs. throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- U.S. Citizenship required
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of experience operating 3 Axis CNC machines
- 4 and 5 Axis experience preferred
- Experience with Fanuc and HAAS controllers
- Proficiency in CAM programming using Mastercam
- Experience working in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment
- Read and interpret production specifications, assembly drawings, diagrams, and technical instructions
- Perform machining operations while maintaining precise tolerances and quality standards
- Conduct non-routine machine setups and adjust tooling, feeds, and speeds as required
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and advanced shop math calculations
- Follow written setup instructions and machining procedures
- Operate and support CNC Mills and machine programming software
- Inspect finished components to ensure conformance to specifications
- Use basic power hand tools and maintain a safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
