This role is accountable for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications and internal standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Proficiency in reading technical documents and performing basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
Familiarity with manual mills and lathes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T specifications.
Program CNC mills and lathes, including setting tool registers, offsets, and conditional switches.
Set up CNC machines with appropriate chucks, tools, fixtures, and attachments.
Verify machine settings and first-run parts to ensure accuracy.
Monitor machining operations such as drilling, grooving, turning, and thread chasing.
Troubleshoot and adjust programs and machine settings as needed.
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM).
Fabricate and utilize fixtures and holding devices.
Maintain equipment and complete preventive maintenance tasks.
Document setups and tooling information.
Train operators on machine usage, safety, and quality control.
