About The Position

Starr is seeking a Machinery Specialist for a full-time role open to candidates based in Houston, Texas. The specialist conducts inspections and risk assessments to help ensure clients’ machinery and equipment meet safety standards and regulations. The role includes managing a multi-state territory independently, communicating findings to client management, and recommending ways to mitigate machinery risks.

Requirements

• Hold an active National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission.
• Have at least 5 years of experience conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels.
• Have the physical capability to complete internal boiler examinations.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory.

• Experience conducting machinery breakdown insurance risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
