The core responsibility of the Machine Operator is to ensure that the manufacturing process of all the lines are operating and operating within standard operating conditions producing quality products. Reports to the Production Coordinator

Location: Brantford
Shifts Available: 8-hour shifts

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent or higher.
• Minimum of one-year related work experience.
• Experience with plastic extrusion and/or injection molding
• Mechanical aptitude (be able to make small repairs) and support maintenance personnel when needed
• Able to use computers for data entry, Email and Excel
• Fluent in the English language
• Able and willing to take supervisory courses (Continuous Improvement, Health and Safety, and Quality)

Responsibilities

• Start up the lines and assure good quality of product.
• Check schedule and do changeovers in time and with proper tools.
• Provide coverage in the absence of Supervisor.
• Do preventative maintenance work like changing blades and gaskets on vacuum tanks.
• Do quality checks like chlorine and add color in hoppers.
• Respond to whistle to investigate and help.
• Diligently follow the GMP’s and IFS policies.
• Other duties as set out by shift Supervisors or Production Manager.
